Cabinet Painting

The fastest and most cost-effective way to update your kitchen is to paint the cabinets.

You can count on Dugan’s Drywall & Painting for a quality paint job on your kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities. Because it stands up to kitchen wear and tear and keeps its high gloss longer, we recommend using oil based paints. Using oil based also keeps knotty pine from showing through the paint. Oil based primers also address discoloration and adhesion issues. We use urethane based enamels for the top coats. Urethane enamels are very user friendly, allowing for touch ups in the future should the need arise. We use an HVLP Spray System designed specifically for cabinetry to achieve the best results.

The cabinet painting process typically takes 6 days from start to finish.  When our crew arrives at your home, we remove all doors and hardware, fix dents, knicks, caulk, and putty up trim nails.  We create a spray booth and drying racks on site.

It is important to only spray one side per day to allow the primer/paint to thoroughly dry.  Each cabinet gets 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint to ensure the best results.  Once the final coat of paint is dry, the new hardware and hinges are installed, and the cabinets are reassembled.
